About This Role- You have to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Main responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep all accounting transactions and reconcile accounting with actual cash/bank balance at the end of week.
- Assist the Finance Manager in the coordination and directing of the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure timely bank payments.
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements on budget performance.
- Responsible for internal controls and assist with both internal and external audits.
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- At least 2 years’ experience as Finance & Accounting in a financial institution or Profit & Non-Profit Organization
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the international financial reporting standards
- Experience with accounting software like SQL and QuickBooks
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Burmese
- Proficient in Excel and Google Sheet
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in handling local and international bank transactions and protocol
