Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Engagement Intern to join our team. As an Engagement Intern, you will play a crucial role in fostering community interaction, addressing inquiries and creating engaging content across various platforms. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop communication skills, gain exposure to community management and content writing as well as contribute to the growth of our community.
Responsibilities:
Community Support
- Respond promptly to inquiries from the community on Facebook, Messenger, Telegram and other relevant platforms
- Provide accurate and helpful information to community members, addressing their queries and concerns
- Actively engage with community members through comments, direct messages, and other community channels.
- Foster a positive and inclusive community environment through thoughtful and supportive interactions
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of community engagement efforts
Research
- Conduct research to identify scholarship, internship and job opportunities relevant to the community’s interests and goals.
- Compile a database for sources of opportunities and keep it regularly updated.
- Keep up to date with scholarship, internship and job opportunities available for the MYEO’s community
Content Creation
- Write compelling and engaging content on identified opportunities, presenting information in a clear and accessible manner.
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable to write in both English and Myanmar
- Ability to adapt and tailor writing style different platform, audiences and channels
- Ability to distill complex information into clear and concise messages
- Ability to research and curate relevant information
- Familiarity with social media platforms, including Facebook, Messenger and Telegram.
- Creative mindset with a passion for creating engaging content
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
